We will be establishing a New World Record for turbine powered vehicles weighing less than 500Kg under the juristriction of the FIA and officiated over by the Motor Sports Association. The new records set will be for standing start and flying ¼ mile and will take place at Elvington Air Field near York. This venue was chosen for having two-mile runway and correct type of surface.

Once set, the records will be recognised by the Motor Sports Association and we have an assurance from the Guinness Book of Records that they will include it in the next issue. (A new record must be of special interest to be included.) This will ensure maximum publicity for the Kart.
